Can I arrive late and still participate?
It is highly recommended that you arrive Thursday night. In rare cases, early Friday morning arrival will be permitted. No discount will be applied for late arrivals.

What are the best travel routes to the state park?

For June & October: French Creek State Park is 50 miles west of Philadelphia and Allentown. The park is 60 east of Harrisburg, and 90 miles north of Baltimore. The exact address is

Will there be transportation to/from the airport?

We are currently coordinating carpooling from the local airports. Please contact damian@thekingsmen.org for arrangements.

What should I pack?

Enough clothes for 4 days and 3 nights. Sneakers, boots, shorts, sweatshirts, sweat pants, jeans, extra socks and t-shirts. Toiletries, blankets, sleeping bag, air mattress (optional), pillows, and towels.

Is this weekend for Christian men only?
No. The weekend is open to any man.
Roman Catholic Mass will be celebrated daily. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be available.

What is the age range for men attending the weekend?
The weekend is geared towards adult men. However, mature young men ages 12-17 may attend with their fathers.

Is there financial help if I cannot afford the weekend?
There is a limited amount of financial assistance available. Contact Damian Wargo at damian@thekingsmen.org for information.

Are there any physical and/or skill requirements to attend?
There will not be a requirement for all men to participate in all activities. Some of the activities will require a decent amount of physical fitness and strength. Men may opt out of certain activities at their discretion. There are no prerequisite skills needed for the weekend.

What are the accommodations?
The cabins are very basic. Each cabin sleeps 2-4 men. The cabins have wooden bed frames, but no other amenities, nor electricity. No man will be permitted to have a cabin to themselves.

Is alcohol permitted?

Alcohol is NOT permitted on state grounds. No alcohol will be provided, nor will any be permitted in the cabins.
